Makhana Keema Masala
My recipe is very healthy as I have formulated it keeping in mind to feed kidoos vegetables in any form.So I used Lauki/bottle guard and paneer to enhance its nutritional value...Most of the kids love paneer so they will try it easily..

INGREDIENTS:----
- 1 cup phool makhana
- 100 gram paneer cut into small pieces.
- 1 cup grated Lauki or bottle gourd
- salt to taste
- 1/2 tsp turmeric
- 1 cup tomato puree
- 2 Tbsp oil
- 1/2 tsp coriander powder
- 1/2 tsp cumin powder
- 1 tsp grated ginger
- 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
- 1/2 tsp cumin powder
- 1/2 tsp cumin seed
- few coriander leaves
- 1 and 1/2 cup water
- 1 tsp kasoori methi
How to cook:---
- Heat 1 tsp oil in a nonstic pan.Add Makhana /lotus seeds . Stir-fry them,stirring constantly until they turn golden brown and crispy.Please don't make them black.
- Put Makhana in a bowl and keep aside.
- Now in the same pan heat the remaninig oil.And add first cumin seed ,add grated ginger .
- Saute on low flame for 1 to 2 mins until you see cumin seed turning brown.
- Add grated Lauki and mix well for 5 to 6 minutes over low flame.
- Add tomato puree ,and saute for another four minutes.
- Now add dry powders:: turmeric,corainder powder,cumin powder,red chilli powder saute for another 5 minutes.
- Add water to make gravy and also add kasoori methi and salt and keep the flame medium.
- Cover it for 5 minutes and keep stirring in between..
- Add Makhana and paneer .Cover and Cook on low flame for 4 minutes.
- switch off the flame.Garnish with corainder leaves.
- Serve hot with chapati or pav or puri whatever u like..
TIPS:
In Tomato gravy recipes add water according to thickness of gravy you like...
