Step-by-Step Milk Cake Recipe in Microwave
Step 1: Prepare the Mixture
Take the leftover ghee residue in a microwave-safe bowl. Add milk and mix well to break any lumps. The mixture should be slightly moist, not watery.
Step 2: Add Sweetness & Flavor
Add sugar and cardamom powder. Mix thoroughly so the sugar blends evenly into the residue.
Step 3: First Microwave Cook
Microwave on high for 2 minutes. Take it out, stir well, and scrape the sides.
Step 4: Second Cook for Grainy Texture
Microwave again for 30–40 seconds. Mix again. At this stage, the mixture starts thickening and leaving the sides.
Step 5: Final Setting
Microwave for another 30 seconds if needed. Do not overcook—milk cake should remain soft and slightly grainy.
Step 6: Shape & Garnish
Transfer the mixture to a greased bowl or plate. Press gently, garnish with chopped nuts, and let it rest for 2 hours or place in fridge.
Serving Suggestion
Cut into squares and serve warm or chilled. This instant milk cake tastes amazing with tea or as a festive sweet.
