Eggless Red Rava Jaggery Cake Recipe

Rawa Jaggery Cake

Cake ,heart of all celebrations has a special place.We all have  unusual excuses for having cake.Be it birthday ,midday snacks,or breakfast,cake in different flavours like strawberry,butterscotch,chocolate are always in demand.
Basic earlier cake was made up of only all-purpose flour.But lots of healthy version of scrumptious is available nowadays.I have used healthy version Rava/Suji as base of the cake.
I have tried many cakes.

Whole Wheat Dates Walnut Cake

Carrot Cake

Oats Cake

This time I have this innovative version

Let us start

Ingredients:----
Here 1 bowl =1 cup /15-16 Tbsp
  • 1 bowl suji / Rava
  • 1/2 bowl curd
  • 1/2 bowl milk
  • 1/4 bowl oil/butter
  • 1 medium beetroot(1/2 bowl chopped beetroot)
  •  1 tsp baking powder
  • 2/8 tsp(2 pinch) baking soda
  • 2-3 drops vanilla essence
  • few almonds
  • few chopped walnuts
  • 3/4 bowl jaggery powder 
  • 1 tsp flaxseed
Method:---

  1. First add Rawa in a mixing bowl.
  2. Add curd in bowl and mix with Rawa and keep it aside for 10 minutes.
  3. Take beetroot and divide into two parts.
  4. Grate one big part beetroot and chop small part.
  5. Now after10 minutes add grated beetroot in the Rawa curd mixture.
  6. Add milk one-one spoon.
  7. Mixture will be bit thick.Add vanilla essence.
  8. Add 1 Tbsp of mixture with walnuts.
  9. Now add oil in the mixing bowl .
  10. Mix all the ingredients except baking powder.
  11. At last add baking powder and baking soda .
  12. Mix it and transfer it into greased baking pan.
  13. Decorate with chopped beetroot and almonds and walnut.
  14. Bake in preheated oven at 180 degree for 20-25 minutes.
  15. When cake is baked ,leave it for 20 mins to cool at room temperature.
  16. Serve and enjoy healthy cake.






Tips:----
  • In this cake you can replace 1/2  bowl curd with one egg.
  • You can increase jaggery to 1 cup or more according to your taste.
  • Beetroot also has some sweetness so sweetness should be added accordingly.
  • You can add 1/2 tsp of lemon for more sponge cake.
  • You can replace beetroot with carrot or only dry fruits ,can add but add more jaggery in that case.
