#Healthy #Whole Wheat Maggi Spring Rolls
Spring Rolls are rolls of noodles with veggies. Normally its base is made up of all-purpose flour that nowadays all want to avoid...And for kids, I always search ways to roll health in all dishes they demand.
So, I tried this Healthy Homemade Whole Wheat Spring rolls. And the best part is I tried Maggi atta noodles for stuffing..
Let us start with:
Ingredients:
- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 1 Tbsp besan/ gram flour
- 1 Tbsp suji/oats
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp ajwain/carom seed
- 1 Tbsp ghee
- 2-4 Tbsp of water
- Oil for frying
For stuffing
- 1 bowl of Maggi noodles
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp turmeric/Haldi
- 1 Tbsp tomato ketchup
- 1/2 bowl of chopped vegetables
- 1/2 tsp soya sauce
Method:
- First, in a mixing bowl add whole wheat flour, besan, suji, salt, ghee.
- Mix properly, and knead the dough with water.
- The dough should be a bit hard like puree dough
- Cover it and keep aside for 5 minutes.
- Boil Maggi in a pan, over medium flame.
- Add salt, turmeric, tomato ketchup.
- Boil till it cooked properly, not sticky.
- Transfer it in a plate to cool it properly.
- After 5 mins, add soya sauce and chopped vegetables.
- Add chilli flakes, black pepper powder. It's optional.
- Now make two balls from dough prepared earlier.
- Roll ball with a roller into a circle.
- Add stuffing and roll it.
- Apply water with ur fingers on both the ends of rolls to stick them properly.
- Deep fry in a preheated oil on a medium flame so that it cooks properly.
- You may also bake it on preheated oven at 150 degrees for at least 15-20 minutes.
- Cut before serving as shown in the picture.
- Serve hot with coriander chutney and tomato ketchup.
