Halwa/fudge name itself brings water in our mouth. And if it is prepared not with sugar but healthy jaggery then why resist to taste...
Besan/chickpeas flour is itself healthy and in addition with nuts will increase its nutritional value...
Let us start with:----
Besan/chickpeas flour is itself healthy and in addition with nuts will increase its nutritional value...
Let us start with:----
- 1 cup besan/chickpeas flour
- 1 cup ghee
- 1/2 cup suji
- 1 and 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 tsp cardamom powder
- 5 chopped almonds
- 1 and 1/2 cup jaggery powder
- 1/4 tsp khuskhus
Method:---
- Heat ghee in a thick bottom pan, add besan and suji.
- Roast on low flame continuously.
- Roast for 20 to 25 minutes until besan turns golden brown and starts giving fragrance.
- Now add jaggery powder and keep stirring continuously.
- When jaggery starts melting add water.
- Keep stirring continuously until besan absorb all water without forming any lumps.
- Mix well until besan mixture starts releasing ghee and separates the pan.
- Further, add chopped almond and khuskhus .Mix well.
- Server hot.
